To perform a SCR as a halfwave rectifier first of connect all the component as shown in the figure. Use current probe for current waveform. Use BT150 or BT 151 scr , which are mostly used in the market.
Generally all the user faced the problem during scr operation is how to set firing angle. Here I have applied a alternative wave to set firing angle.
How to set firing angle ?
First of all find source frequency? here it is 60 Hz.
so total time period for one cycle is 1/60=0.016666 sec
and total degree for one cycle is 360 degree
so 360 degree=0.01666 sec
Now If you want to set 30 degree then 360/12=30 degree same thing 0.016666/12=0.0013888888
For 60 degree divide by 60
time delay =0.0166666/60 = 0.002777
As you can see the waveform for firing angle =60 degree
As you can see the waveform for firing angle =30 degree
